Hijri Calendar

Dec 5, 2011 at 8:15 PM

Have anyone used Hijri calendar with SlickTick?

My servers use Hijri Calendar. This makes errors when storing and retriving data to and from SQL Server 2008.

SQL Server doesn't use Hijri dates in DateTime (range 1753-9999), and it is the year 1433 in Hijri calendar.

I am not sure if CONVERT wil work with Linq. If does, It will take a lot to investigate the code and for the modify.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Shouldn't take too much to insert a conversion into the code, mostly in the domainmodel would be what I would think off the top of my head.  You may also need to change the data type in the db and update the dbml file accordingly.

I'm sorry I haven't come back and posted a response before now.

I have found a workaorund, I am not sure if it is perfect but it works. I have replaced culture="" with culture="en-US" in web.config file. I also added it to every apsx page using DateTime.

<%@ Page ....... culture="en-US" %>
